My phone line went dead last Friday, which meant a total Internet and phone blackout! I'm not sure how I survived, oh yeah; I went out and shot more photos of the Gates. I went a second and third time actually. Once during the week and again last Sunday after the snowfall. I feel lucky to have seen them in a couple of different weather conditions. Just the other day, a co-worker and I wished for snow just so we could see what it might look like next to the Gates. Wish granted.

I'll be sad to see them go but at that same time I applaud Christo and Jeanne-Claude for keeping it short and sweet. You never want to wear out your welcome.
